Despite having been on the branch for a while with ample exposure to rain, sun, and wind – all the requirements for a healthy life – this flower never blossomed. For whatever reason, it chose to stay hidden, and thus we lost an opportunity to see the wonders it possessed.
The fear of opening up to our best potential is of far greater consequence than putting forth the best version of ourselves. For it’s not what the world thinks of us that matters, but rather who and what we are to that select few whom we love in this world that matters most. Never deny them the opportunity to enjoy the light that resides within you; it’s how we keep the world from slipping into darkness.
